This release tightens the loop between your ideas and the page. Instead of treating your script as one long document, Jenesis Forge recognizes the shape of your project — seasons, episodes, and scenes — and keeps everything in sync as you write.
Episode tools
In the left rail, you’ll see an episode-aware outline. You can:
- Create episodes and label them (e.g., “Pilot,” “Episode 2,” “Christmas Special”).
- Group sequences and scenes under each episode so structure stays visible.
- Jump directly to a scene without scrolling endlessly through the script.
Smart block sequencing
When you’re writing inside an episode, the editor now nudges you forward: Scene → Action → Character → Dialogue.
- Type a scene heading like
INT. KITCHEN - MORNINGand press Enter. - The next line is ready for Action automatically.
- When you switch to Character, the editor knows to follow with Dialogue.
All of this keeps you in flow while still generating clean, industry-aware structure under the hood.
Formatter details
The auto-formatter quietly:
- Uppercases scene headings.
- Keeps consistent indentation for dialogue and parentheticals.
- Maintains page-friendly margins so exporting is simple.
You stay focused on intention and emotion. The studio worries about line breaks and “slug” rules.
Keyboard map
Some handy shortcuts to pair with the new tools:
- ⌘+Option+↑ / ⌘+Option+↓: Move a scene up or down within an episode.
- Tab / Shift+Tab: Indent or unindent blocks in the outline.
- ⌘+Enter: Start a new scene heading from wherever you are.
What’s next
Episode awareness is the foundation. Coming next:
- Episode-level page counts and timing estimates.
- Color-coded arcs so you can track characters across episodes.
- Exports that keep episodes clearly labeled for collaborators.
